About 60 of the St Peter’s and Junction family attend home groups. Together, we seek to learn more about Jesus and his teaching, and to explore what it means to be a Christian in our day to day lives. The teaching is centred on the bible, supplemented by study material in written or DVD form. The leaders encourage all members to participate. We find that everyone has their own personality, their own approach to the teachings and their own contributions; and that we learn from each other as much as from the teaching material. The groups vary in composition, timings and character, but also include times of worship and of prayer (including, in particular, intercessory prayer). A time of socializing is also an important part of each session. Maintaining confidentiality is an essential rule.

Yvonne and Margaret’s Group

Anne and Jeannette’s Group

We meet every Wednesday evening from 8 to 10pm.  We also sponsor a little girl from the New Hope Centre in Swaziland via World Vision. Contact: 01622 745115

Alan’s Group

We meet every Tuesday from 7.30 to 9.30 pm. Our meeting includes a short time of praise, up to an hour of study and discussion and intercessory prayer. During the last year we completed a Jeff Lucas DVD series on Samson, a particularly profitable study of Hebrews, a study of Micah and the Diocesan Lent Course. We keep a record of our prayer topics and it is amazing to see the number of times that what we have prayed for has come to pass. God is good! We also have quizzes and other social events every few weeks. Contact: 01622 744843

Beryl’s Group

Our group meets each Friday, from 10.30 to 12.30, with a welcome to stay for lunch. Contact: 01622 741648

Anni’s Prayer Group

The weekly Prayer Group meets each Tuesday from 11.00 to 12.30. We have quite a range of starting points for prayer, but usually we have a daily word of Scripture to start us with some food for thought. New people with prayer needs are always welcome, or any requests will be prayed for in confidence.  Matthew Ch. 18 v 20 “For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them” Contact: 01622 746901
